PLEASE NOTE:

When you first receive your card it will be in "S" mode .. the relevance of this will be explained later.....

• Tune into a d2mac channel like Kanal 5 at 1 degrees west. To confirm that you are on a d2mac channel you should see a green scrambled picture.
• Insert the card correctly into your receiver/decoder. (Please check with the receiver/decoder manual since this can vary as to which-way-up the card has to be inserted)

On the TV screen you should see a message like, "no access" or some other error message, (this again depends on the type of equipment you have).

• Leave the card in the receiver/decoder on the desired channel for at least 20 minutes . DO NOT switch the equipment OFF ! After which the picture should then be descrambled, (though this too can vary from time-to-time).
• Please ensure the card is in the correct mode. (see below for details)

NOTE : If your receiver/decoder is auto-switching from "M" to "S" mode or visa-versa, then you won't need to do the following (please check with your manual) :-

To switch the card into "M" or "S" mode, you need to access the secret/access menu of you receiver/decoder. This is usually done by your remote control. In the menu, you should find a choice where you can read or consult with your card. Look for a consultation menu, and there you will be able to read the card, which then should display the listed channels on that card. This will also confirm that the card is correctly inserted, and that the receiver/decoder is communicating with the card.

There you will find a access/secret menu where you will be given the opportunity (via your remote control), of entering four digits. When you start entering these digits, the screen should hide the numbers, and instead display something llike this , " * * * * ".

• To invoke the card into "M" mode enter "0020", (you may have to enter the same code more than once depending on the type of receiver/decoder you have). Again, to invoke the card into "S" mode enter "0030" instead. After which, select the appropriate channel relating to that mode.

Why change from "M" to "S" ?

The reason is that some channels are encrypted in a different way, this is denoted by the "M" or "S", and therefore the card has to be told to change mode depending on the desired channel.

The following channels are in "S" mode:-

Canal +/TV2/ Kanal femme (5)/ Tv Norge/ BBC Prime (also in "M")

The rest of the channels are mainly in "M" mode such as TV1000 etc ...
